Mission Statement TUSSAT is a student-satellite mission. It is planned to be conceptualised, built and tested by Thapar University students. TUSSAT will orbit the Earth to measure Green House Gas Density and Magnetic field measurements and testing technologies for future education satellite missions. TUSSAT is aimed at providing students with valuable and challenging hands-on space project experience in order to fully prepare a well qualified space workforce for the future.

Mission Objectives
  • Students experience satellite design, fabrication, testing, launch, operation and analysis of results.
  • Collaboration among students from different branches of engineering: electronic engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.
  • Measuring greenhouse gas density in our atmosphere and know the current amount of greenhouse gases present in our atmosphere.
  • Involving students from other universities in our Satellite mission and promoting space science all over India by building ground stations at their respective universities.
